HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

You can refer a patient to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre for consideration of a clinical trial. Trials are conducted in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and patient experiences.

Referrals from across Victoria and Australia are accepted. To refer patients ineligible for Medicare or visiting from overseas, please first contact the Medicare Ineligible Patient Coordinator.

OTHER TRIAL GROUPS

Peter Mac has a number of clinical trial units for all areas of cancer care including imaging, surgery and anaesthetic, occupational therapy and physiotherapy and genetic testing.

PARKVILLE CANCER CLINICAL TRIALS UNIT

The Parkville Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (PCCTU) is Australia’s largest cancer clinical trials unit, specialising in first in human, phase I, medical oncology, haematology, and palliative care clinical trials.

RADIATION ONCOLOGY TRIALS

The Peter Mac Radiation Oncology department conducts a number of phase I to III clinical trials in a wide range of cancers including prostate, lung, head and neck, breast, lymphoma, bladder, kidney, skin, oesophagus, stomach, liver and central nervous system.
