A program to provide land assistance of Rs. 2 lakhs to the people below the poverty line was held yesterday. Seema Director Bishop Pushpanathan presided over the event. Joint Secretary Bishop John Xavier presided. Dr. Velavan, Managing Director of Erode Cancer Center and Subramaniam, Director of National Child Labor Abolition Program, Erode District. Sewing machine for 40 women who lost their husbands and joined the livelihood, cattle such as goats and cows for 42 women, who attended as special invitees ,scholarships for school children and vegetables for families were provided.
