PETER MAC POSTDOC SOCIETY (PMPS)

The Peter Mac Postdoc Society (PMPS) represents postdoctoral researchers from across the Cancer Research Division.

PMPS organises a range of activities aimed at engaging, educating and providing professional development opportunities for Peter Mac’s postdoctoral researchers.

The PMPS Leadership Group oversees the activities of a range of subcommittees.

PMPS sub-committees

Promotes the importance of mentorship and helps to foster mentoring opportunities both within and outside of Peter Mac

ncreases the skill set of postdocs, promotes community engagement and outreach and promotes teaching initiatives

Provides necessary information to postdocs to guide career choices, including non-academic career paths

Increases communication among postdocs and disseminates the activities of PMPS, builds a strong postdoc community at Peter Mac through organisation of regular social events and conducts fundraising to support PMPS activities.

Runs an annual symposium for Victorian postdocs, providing opportunities to present their work and develop conference organisational skills.
